There was an action scene!

  • C-Town-We used our math skills to budget and then go shopping for a class party. We had to estimate, add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

What the Kids Said:

"My favorite trip was when we went to Central Park because I like the marrionette show and the action scene in it. Also we played games." -Monica P.

Projects

Students made travel guides about China, country reports about Ghana, and posters and booklets in math.  At the end of the year, students learned to make dioramas. Students were instructed to choose one of the countries we've studied this year (China, Ghana, Italy) and to make a diorama to show what they've learned. Check them out below!

Class 3-202 Reader's Theater

Earlier this year the students worked in small groups to write their own reader's theater scripts. Readers Theater is when students practice reading from a script in a small group. This helps them to practice fluency, which is reading smoothly and clearly. The students wrote their own scripts, revised, and edited. The topic was bullying and we produced a puppet show and acted it out. Read the scripts below.
